Sweden's REGURGITATE play skull-shearing grindcore in its most vile and extreme form. Having just released the scalding Hatefilled Vengeance EP -- easily the band's slickest and sickest material to date -- and readying to enter Soundlab Studios to lay down even more new blistering grind, REGURGITATE, (RGTE) is more active than at any time in its near decade-long history.

RGTE has been playing blasting grind for some time now -- did you ever imagine the band would be still jamming together in 2003? It seems that the band is bigger than ever and still kicking out some fucking vicious grindcore!
Hehehe. That´s usually nothing I’m walking around thinking about, although I’m really happy that we’re still around after all these years and still doing the same shit, basically.
Talk a little about your new EP Hatefilled Vengeance. I know this was originally available as a 12". How did the idea to re-record some of the classic RGTE tracks and add them to the EP come about?
Yep, Putrid Filth Conspiracy released those songs on a 12", which I think is almost sold out by now. Urban and I had an idea to re-record some classic tunes from the first album (Effortless Regurgitation of Bright Red Blood - ED) cuz we kinda liked them... so we decided to record them again with a better and tighter sound. They came out pretty fat I think. One other reason why we did so, was that we didn't had enough new material for a whole 12". So it was quite easy to re-record some old shit.
Talk about the Polargrinder compilation CD that was just released -- how did this come about?
It was no big deal. The dudes who released this comp. asked us if we wanted to take part in the compilation and we said yes to his offer. In the beginning, lots of other Swedish bands were supposed to participate as well, but some backed out.
The band toured this past summer in Europe, gigging with ENTRAILS MASSACRE and SUPPOSITORY. How did this tour go and what was the response to the RGTE live show? It seems you guys have been playing live more lately --what do you see as the reason behind this?
Ah man, that tour ruled for sure! We had lots of good responses at every gig we played, and the bands we toured with are just amazingly cool guys! During that tour, we played twice with ROTTEN SOUND -- their drummer is fuckin’ crazy. We got to hang out with lots of cool people and got to see the most 'redneckish' places of Germany and the rest of East Europe.

I know the band already has plans to record a new record (!) -- tell us what you've got in store...
Right now we’re in Soundlab, recording our new full-length album. Then in January, we´re hoping to go on a mini tour in Sweden together with SAYYADINA and GADGET.
The REGURGITATE website is one of the coolest and most interactive in the underground grindcore scene. How important has your site been to the band and has it helped the band a lot with getting out info, etc. these last few years?
Yeah, we’re really happy with how the latest major update came out. I guess the site helps us ALOT with getting all our info out to people who would never care about us if we didn’t had a website.
What does the future hold in store for the band -- what do you have left to achieve with REGURGITATE? What can we expect from the band in 2003?
After we finish the new full-length, I think we´ll go over to Finland for a tour with ROTTEN SOUND... should be fuckin’ cool!! We´re also talking about a US tour in spring 2003, but nothing is for sure yet, so make sure to check out our website for the latest updates on what’s going on in the RGTE (death)camp.
